Acrylic Fill-In
An acrylic fill-in is a maintenance process for acrylic nails that involves applying more acrylic product to the new growth area of the natural nail, where the acrylic has grown out or become detached. As natural nails grow, a gap forms between the acrylic nail and the cuticle, so the fill-in process helps restore the smooth appearance and ensure the acrylic nails stay secure and intact. During a fill-in, the old acrylic is lightly filed down, the new acrylic is applied to the regrown area, and the nails are reshaped and polished. Typically, acrylic fills are done every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on how quickly the nails grow.
